We’re She Shreds Outdoors, a group of Duluth-based women seeking to build and facilitate an outdoor community where women uplift, encourage, and show up for one another! We aim to create welcoming spaces to learn, grow confidence, share knowledge and help other women feel comfortable and stoked to get outside, whether they’re brand new or have been at it for years.  

As women who work and play hard in the outdoors, we envision a future where barriers to entry in outdoor sports are significantly reduced - or in a perfect world, broken down! One where every woman regardless of experience, background, age, or ability feels confident, supported, and fully at home in our amazing outdoor spaces!

We’re a group of gals from Minnesota who came together through our love for the outdoors. Some of us grew up skiing, biking, and exploring the Northwoods, while others discovered these sports later in life. We come from all walks of life, but we share a common goal: to make the outdoors a welcoming, fun, and supportive place for femme, nonbinary, and queer folks. Together, we create a space for girls to learn new skills, push boundaries, and celebrate the outdoors.

She Shreds Outdoors is run by women who love sharing the outdoors with everyone, no matter your age, identity, or experience. We create a welcoming space for femme, nonbinary, and queer folks and make sure the outdoors feels fun, accessible, and a little less intimidating. Our goal is to open doors in sports that are often male-dominated, like skiing, biking, and snowboarding. We’re aiming to create a supportive community where you can learn, grow, and shred at your own pace <3

Here at SSO, we’re not afraid to show our personalities, embrace what we love, and bring a little extra sparkle to the outdoors. Whether it’s on our helmets, skis, bikes, or just in our energy, the glitter reminds everyone that this is a space to be yourself exactly as you are!

We want to be conscious and kind to the outdoors which is why we’re using totally biodegradable and environmentally friendly glitter, made of cellulose and aloe vera from Adorn Designs.
